What is a Birchbox?
It's a monthly beauty subscription where you receive 4-5 deluxe-sized (sometimes full-sized) high end beauty products for only $10/month. You can review the products that you receive and get points for them, which can then be used to purchase full-sized products in the Birchbox store. You can also get points by referring friends, making purchases from their website & more :)
Let's get started:
✈The exterior packaging. Personally, I LOVED the black with hot pink logo that was used for the GG Birchbox last month
✈VOILA :) This month the inside was different-it had cute little "stamps" printed on the box of various landmarks across the country
✈This month's theme was: JET SET (like the little airplanes I used to coordinate?)
✈Here are the products inside my box this month
✈What you see upon opening
✈First up: Borghese Bagno Di Vita Soak: Pour these mineral rich crystals into your bath to make believe you're at a chichi spa retreat. They also help soothe dry skin and tired muscles (Full Size-$35)
✈Eyeko Fat Eye Stick (FULL SIZE-$15): A Birchbox's exclusive, this UK brand's too cool shadow stick combines creamy color and long-lasting wear.
✈I received it in the shade-Charcoal
✈Extremely gorgeous dark gray color and it's retractable. There is so much product in this little stick! :)
✈theBalm Staniac in Beauty Queen: We're crazy about this two-in-one lip and cheek stain; the sheer gel formula delivers a subtle, long-wearing flush. (Full size is $17)
✈Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream: This best selling Japanese cream has a concentrated formula that heals cracked hands, chapped lips, and other forms of dryness. It's your new carry on essential.
✈Lifestyle Extra this month: Mini Luna Bar in Chocolate Peppermint Stick-Whether we're running errands or hopping on a plane we always have emergency snacks on hand. These just-sweet-enough treats are our faves. (Pack of 15-$18.75)
✈Total snapshot of all the goodies inside my June Birchbox
There you have it! That was everything inside my Birchbox for the month of June. The two things I'm most excited about in my box are the Eyeko Fat Stick and theBalm Staniac. I love getting makeup, and being able to experiment and play around with them. The Eyeko fat stick seems like it'll make a great thick eyeliner, or even a great smoky eye makeup tool. The staniac, which I've also already tried, adds that perfect pink tint to lips and cheeks. I like it A LOT better than Benefit's benetint/posietint, which are essentially the same things, but cost just a little less. While I know some people complain about receiving food in their Birchboxes, I actually LOVE it!! I love getting to try new snacks, which in turn, turn out to be some of my favorites (like the KIND bar that came in our Cynthia Rowley curated Birchbox). Also-just seeing food and beauty samples in general really warms my heart. Yes, I know I sound weird, but I really would prefer food over something like the men's cologne, or ziploc (Tili) bags that came in some people's boxes this month. Also, I've tried this flavor of Luna bars before and it honestly tastes amazing! Like a soft mint chocolate cookie :)--YUM! Not too sure what I'll be doing with the other samples I received, but most likely passing them on to my sister who enjoys bath & body products more so than makeup! All-in-all a pretty good box in my opinion! I love that Birchbox has been giving us at least ONE full sized product in our boxes lately! :) SCORE! Although with that said, I wish that they would make the 20+ variations of each box a little more fair. This month, some people received a full-sized Stila one-step bronze (which I am DYING to try!!!) which retails for $36 O____o....while others received boxes not high in value on the other end in the spectrum.
If you got a Birchbox this month, leave a link or comment-I love knowing what other people received!
