If you haven't noticed by now, I have a pretty big sweet tooth, especially when it comes to cupcakes! Instead of devouring an entire cake and feeling guilty afterwards, eating cupcakes not only satisfies your gluttony, but also gives you a little sweet treat (with various flavors) without that extra guilt.
After a tiring day of shopping at Discover Mills mall with my sister, we happened to notice this cute little cupcake shop in the shopping center across the street. Knowing me, we had to stop by and see how it compared with Gimme Some Suga bakery, my favorite cupcakery in Atlanta.
Here's what we got:
♣Storefront
♣Various flavors of cupcakes offered
♣More cupcakes on silver platters
♣How the cupcakes are packaged
♣Key Lime Cupcake
♣Red Velvet Cupcake
♣The two cupcakes we tried
♣FOOD (4/5): Since we only tasted two of the 10+ cupcakes they offered that day (with their daily changing menu), it's pretty difficult to review it wholly. The key lime cupcake was good, but very crumbly. Also, while the cake itself was moist, the frosting did not have a distinct lime or at least lemon-y flavor, which was a bit disappointing. I did really like the gummy lime that was garnishing the cupcake though, it was a very cute touch. Nextly, we tried out the red velvet cupcake. I'm a huge fan of red velvet, and it's usually my first choice whenever I see a wide array of cupcakes. Their red velvet cupcake was pretty spot on-the cake itself was incredibly moist and delicious, and the cream cheese frosting was sweet, but not overly sweet, just the way I like it. The cute pink fondant heart (?) was also a cute touch, not to mention the perfect poof of icing on the cake. I think I may have possibly just gotten a bad batch of the key lime cupcakes, but I will be there very very soon to try out more of their delectable flavors, especially the pancake and bacon cupcake, I believe! Check out their facebook page for their daily flavors-it's pretty awesome that I get to plan which days to go because they update their page daily! :)
♣SERVICE (5/5): The young employee was very friendly and very helpful. I asked for recommendations and she pleasantly recommended some to my sister and I. She wrapped up our cupcakes to go, took our payments immediately, and kindly sent us off, all with a huge smile on her face. Great customer service!
♣DECOR (5/5): The storefront and logo are all very cute and classy-pink and white just happen to be my favorite colors, so that's a huge plus right there! I also like how all the cupcakes are beautifully arranged on silver tiered platters with their flavor tags-making it easy to distinguish one cupcake from another. In addition, there are tables there for you to enjoy your yummy cupcakes, and makes for a great spot to catch up with your friends and eat cake!
Overall, I really enjoyed the cupcakes and environment here! While I would definitely come back for the red velvet cupcake alone, I will definitely stop by and taste some of their other flavors when I'm around the area again next time, especially to give them a more thorough and fair review of their other cupcake flavors. If you all have ever stopped by here, let me know what I should try next time~
