August 2012 Love With Food Box

Happy Monday!

I know, I know...some people dread Mondays. In fact, I used to too not too long ago. But now that I'm graduated, so much weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, and I no longer fear the case of the Mondays :). Well, I can't say that with 100% confidence because I know once I start grad school, i'll be back in that "Where the heck did the weekend go?" mood again, but for now, I'm all good.

Anyways, you all already know how much my Birchbox disappointed me this month, but luckily for me, my monthly Love With Food box never fails to put a HUGE smile on my face when I see it sitting in my mailbox basking in all its glory. I've been a happy subscriber since April, making this month my FIFTH box. I know you're all as anxious as I am, especially seeing that there were barely any sneak peeks on their Facebook page this month, so let's just jump right into it! But before I do, I should also mention that I just signed up with another food subscription program called Goodies Company, so I can't wait to see how the two monthly boxes compare! :)

Here's what was in my August Love With Food Box:

❀Snapshot of everything inside my box this month

Overall, thanks for ANOTHER fantastic month, Love With Food! Of all of my monthly subscription services (including beauty), you're by far my absolute favorite! Every month you bring something unique to the table and make my tummy extremely happy! :) Since receiving this month's box, everything inside has already disappeared

❀Skinny Dipping Pretzels with Key Lime and Ginger Mustard: The pretzels alone are just your typical pretzels, but when paired with the mustard....OH MY GOD, talk about a tangy and salty party combination in your mouth. The mustard itself was absolutely fantastic! The key lime flavor was definitely present, and the ginger was pretty subtle, which was perfect! You also get that strong mustard flavor, it was a real winner in my book. Plain pretzels + amazing gourmet mustards = HOME RUN
❀Lemon & Peanut butter cookies: Very tasty and better than I had expected, especially being Vegan products. They were a little more firm (touch-wise), but they were incredibly moist once I had bitten into them. My favorite of the two is definitely the lemon since I'm not a huge fan of peanut butter to begin with. Even the peanut butter cookie was delicious! Not super overpowering on the peanut butter, but just that perfect balance of it. The fact that a lot of dairy ingredients are taken out to create a cookie this good is what really shocks me!
❀Dried montmorency cherries: I don't know if i've ever had or haven't had a montmorency cherry, but all I know is that it tasted pretty darn delicious. Your typical dried cherries, but it was incredibly succulent and moist. With each bite, there was a unique tartness and sweet side to it.
❀Coconut Toffee Peanuts: By far my FAVORITE product in this month's box, alongside the key lime with ginger mustard. I already love toffee peanuts anyways, I grew up on them. Whether it was snacking on them in the car on my way to school or at a baseball game, I love REAL peanuts (not peanut butter-strange, I know). These were incredibly crunchy and delicious! Not to mention, it was a VERY generous size, thank you Sconza! While I was hoping for a stronger coconut flavor, I'm glad that it didn't overpower the toffee or peanut flavors themselves. They're currently sold out on the Love With Food site, but I can't wait to purchase more of these. So yummy!
❀Gins Gins & Glee gum: I'm already a fan of The Ginger People ginger candies, in fact, we have bags of their yummy ginger products in our pantry. I've grown accustomed to loving anything with ginger, especially growing up in an Asian household and this is no exception. My favorite was the caramel candy, yummy! The glee gum was a little firmer and had a different texture than what I'm used to, but the tangerine flavor was definitely there. Yay for all-natural products! :)
