REVIEW: Yeah! Burger (Atlanta, GA)

Hey there!

So, if you've stopped by my blog before, you know how much I love a big ol' juicy hamburger. Seriously though, how could you not LOVE an American classic? I mean, all your basic food groups are there: buns (bread), beef patties (meat), veggies (fruits & vegetables), and egg/cheese (dairy) all in one scrumptious meal. I try to eat relatively healthy on a daily basis, but when it comes to my food adventures, is when I go all out, which I later regret when I'm sweating bucket loads on that darn treadmill.

On to today's review! So I've heard a lot about Yeah! Burger, and it's a popular dining choice amongst some of my friends who work in the VaHi (Virginia Highlands) area. I wasn't having the best day, so after driving by this place and on an empty stomach, I thought to myself "YEAH! I want a Burger" and *bing* there I was in the parking lot. According to their Facebook page, Yeah! Burger is known "keepin' Food Real." [They] Proudly Use Natural And Organic Ingredients That Are Free Of Antibiotics, Growth Hormones, Synthetic Pesticides And Herbicides, Chemical Fertilizers, Ammonia And Other Nasty Additives. All Of [Their] Food Is Cooked-to-order, So Please Be Patient." All I know is, if I want to eat an already unhealthy & yummy hamburger, it better be the BEST quality out there. Grass-fed, all-natural, organic, gluten-free & more are some of the popular terms you'll run into while glancing through the menu.

Let's get started:

☮YEAH! Burger sign on the outside of the building

☮Part of the bar, communal seating area & the awesome wall!

☮The counter

☮Wall in the women's restaurant--ABSOLUTELY LOVE their decor!

☮Women's restroom sign

☮My incredible lunch-are you drooling yet? Just wait!

☮My burger in all of its glory: 2 6-oz. grass-fed beef patties, fried egg, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon & grilled onions all sandwiched in between an incredibly made Holeman & Finch bun. Base price is $6.49, but increases as you add more "premium" toppings to it.

☮50/50 fries ($2.99) with roasted garlic aioli, honey mustard and ranch dipping sauces ($0.25 each)

☮FOOD (5/5): HALLELUJAH! Immediately after taking a few bites of my burger, I thought I could hear the angels singing. This is what you call a REAL burger! Honestly, I still can't taste or tell the difference between grass-fed beef and non grass-fed beef, but I trust them wholeheartedly with whatever they decide to concoct in the kitchen. The beef patties were incredibly juicy and tender, that perfect little chew. Not to mention, it was entirely covered in American cheese, *drools*. Oh my goodness...next was the egg. Perfectly fried, not runny in the center, plus that crispy bacon, it was sort of a twist on breakfast! I know, I know-some people think it's weird to add egg to a burger. HECK NO! It's freaking amazing and mouthwatering! Try it before you totally disregard it, it's seriously life-changing. The tomato slices & lettuce were fresh and crisp, and the grilled onions that were sandwiched inside were tasty as well. It's not a burger unless you use that freshly baked H&F bun-oh boy...I'm already salivating at how everything was so perfectly balanced, it's not even funny. Their burgers aren't a joke, they're HUGE! Don't expect to get anything this good on the dollar menu, or you're on the wrong planet! Let's talk about 50/50 fries now. The onion rings were huge, light and crispy. Not a ridiculous amount of batter, but just right so that it didn't sit heavy in your stomach. The other fries were just alright-I'd definitely still Five Guys cajun spiced fries, but the onion rings were no doubt a winner! I love me some fried pickles and sweet potato fries, so that's what I'll be ordering next time I'm there. Lastly, get yourself some of their housemade sauces! They're incredible!! I love ANYTHING with an enormous amount of garlic flavoring, and their garlic aioli did not disappoint. An abundance of smooth garlic flavoring, I think I need a barrel of this in my house. The honey mustard and ranch were your typical sauces and still delicious nonetheless. Pair any of these sauces with either your burger or fries, and it's a real winner. Also, if beef isn't your thing, Yeah! also offers bison, chicken, turkey and veggie burgers-something for everyone that's for sure!

☮SERVICE (5/5): Service here was fantastic! The lady at the register was very friendly, gave great recommendations & was very efficient. She then handed me a number placard. About 10-15 minutes later, she brought over my meal. Since it's sort of a self-serve restaurant, there's not much actual servicing going on besides the initial encounter when placing your order at the counter and the food being brought to you. Also, you can take a seat anywhere, either by the bar, on the outdoor patio, or any of the indoor seating inside the restaurant.

☮DECOR (5/5): So incredibly lively and fun! While the pics above only show not even a hundredth of all the cute walls throughout the restaurant, that's just a glance. Imagine, beautiful white walls, and then that one extremely vibrant, colorful and lively wall where the bathrooms are located. It not only makes it a fun environment for friends and families, but it also brings back the little kids in all of us. I can't get over how cute their cartoons are!! Not to mention, the beautiful vintage metal chairs, wooden tables and overall cleanliness and vibe of the entire restaurant, it was surely a huge hit in my book!

So, I'm pretty certain by the time you're done reading this review, you'll notice that that frown I had earlier in the day was immediately wiped away and turned upside down as soon as I entered this lively burger shop-from the friendly and helpful employees and bangin' burgers to all the cute touches throughout the establishment, it was definitely a winner in my book! I know I can't wait to come back here and try the bison and turkey burgers! How amazing would it be if they started offering chorizo burgers? Now, that would be AMAZING. Because you all know how much I LOVE my Flip Burger Chorizo burger-as in, this is the ONLY burger I could live on and eat every single day for the rest of my life! Just a suggestion-but besides the fact, look no further Atlantans, go to Yeah! Burger today :)! Long live gourmet burgers!

P.S. Come in on a lucky day and you might run into a A-list celebrity. Ludacris, Owen Wilson & Nina Dobrev are amongst the long list of celebs who've dined here while in the A!

Here's the physical address: 1017 N Highland Ave NE

Have a great day,
-Sandy
