I just received my July Birchbox and wanted to share it with you all. Also, I apologize for the lack of post since Friday, life's been getting a little too hectic, but I promise after the 25th, you'll see a bunch more, especially more Delightful Bites posts.
Anyways, this month, Birchbox collaborated with the beauty editors over at Glamour Magazine to create this special box. Wanna see what's inside?
Let's get started:
★Cute sleeve on the box this month-the theme this month was the "Five Senses of Summer"
★Here's what you see upon opening the box
★Here's the front of product card
★Here's the back of the product card
★First glance at everything that came inside my box this month
★Beautyblender-this hot pink sponge fits the natural curves of your face for flawless makeup application (plus it feels great on your skin). 2 packs, $25.95: I don't use liquid foundation, so this doesn't really work for me :(
★Harvey Prince Hello-get a glass half full disposition with this optimistic blend of juicy Meyer lemon, white grapefruit, and pink plumeria. Full size ($26-$55): It smelled pretty good, pretty fruity, and also the vial was a pump, instead of the twist off, and it was larger than the perfume vials they usually send out. BUT..I'm still not a huge fan of these tiny sample perfumes that they call "deluxe" samples.
★Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint-this award winning tinted moisture is our shortcut to dewy, fresh skin. Full-size ($38): I liked seeing Jouer the FIRST time in our Birchboxes, but after seeing them about 5 or so times with these ridiculously tiny samples, I really don't want to see any more of their products inside our boxes. Also, the color sent to me was too dark for my skin tone, in addition to only 0.07 grams, when many of the other boxes this month had the same samples for 0.17g? Makes no sense to me.
★Stila Lip Glaze in Camera-this sparkly gloss from the limited edition It's Go Time Lip Glaze trio combines sheer color with mega-watt shine. FULL SIZE-but the set of 3 costs $12. This was nice, it didn't apply as dark as I thought it would and it was the perfect shine.
★Tea Forte Minteas in Cocoa Mate-keep these refreshing, tea-infused mints on hand for quick pick-me-ups (3 tins, $9.95). I love anything tea-infused, and anything by Tea Forte, and these were no exception! These were yummy & great to put into my little clutch.
★Birchbox Exclusives Earbuds-we designed these neon headphones just for you. Pair them with your best playlist.
★Here's my Youtube unboxing video, ENJOY! :)
So there you have it, that was everything inside my Birchbox for the month of July! Overall, this month's box went WAY below my expectations, especially because I thought it would be another great box like when Teen Vogue partnered up with Birchbox. Most of the products I saw in people's boxes this month were just repeats of stuff from previous months, sort of like a "recycling/cleansing" type deal. While there were some new products, like the Stila lip glaze and Oscar De La Renta perfume sample, everything else were repeats. The BEST thing about my box this month were the extras, which is sad, but very true. I love the mints and even though the earbuds aren't the best quality, they'll do as a backup. Here's to hoping for a better month in August! Even though some months are great, there are months that will blow you out of the water, like my March Birchbox. Also, with the awesome perks system, it's still a great way to get to try out a bunch of new products! Sign up for yours here, only $10/month: Birchbox
Have a great night,
-Sandy
